Sinapses™- Making Connections (sm) is an international strategic business management consulting and services provider specialized in alliances and professional management practices.

Alliances comprise several forms of partnerships, from marketing and R&D agreements in the upper portions of the value chain all the way to VAR's and resellers at the end of the chain. Sinapses helps clients in determining which type of partnership is better suited for them and their goals. It then develops a joint strategic plan and pursue its execution, while assisting with intercultural aspects associated with the process.

Professional Management of services organizations utilize a structured framework of processes, people, tools and templates to deliver superior services. When properly deployed, practices, PMO's and other delivery groups add value to clients and become a revenue source as well. Sinapses helps clients in designing and implementing professional service organizations using best practices in processes and tools, such as project management, Six Sigma and Balanced Scorecard.


Sinapses was designed to produce the highest possible value to its clients, leveraging principles of classical administration theory, strategy and Six Sigma. Whatever does not add value is waste and clients should not suffer the burden of unnecessary costs.  While companies like Nike and Dell have deployed a similar concept in the manufacturing world, Sinapses took it one step further and in the services arena.

Hence, Sinapses leverages one of its main line of business - alliances - to source its administrative operational chain (IT, accounting, HR, legal, administration). Likewise, we look at the geography, industry and area of expertise required by our clients to build the best and unique client team, on demand, thus leveraging our global connections and reducing costs.

The result is a company that is extremelly nimble, flexible and lean. Only core competencies in strategy, marketing, alliances, project management, intercultural skills and processes are maintained in-house with all other aspects utilizing our partners - a trully federated services company.


Our professional team has a diverse background, including engineering, management, law, international business, intercultural experts, and IT, with members all around the world.

Our Managing Director is a multidisciplinary professional with many years of international experience, from startup to large companies. He has performed in several functions, including management, operations, business development and technical sales for Fortune 500 companies, in the US, Europe and Brazil. He holds four academic degrees, is a certified Project Management Professional and Six Sigma Black Belt. 

Prior to Sinapses ™, he was Director of Business Systems and Process Improvement for a subsidiary of Philips Electronics. Early in his career, he built a professional services organization for a systems integrator startup and was then invited to join a Lockheed Martin subsidiary, where he progressed to Program Manager for the Global Alliances Group. Later, at a large IT services firm, he created a Program Management Office (“PMO”), which delivered US$ 15 million in revenues within 15 months from its inception. One of his clients obtained the 17th 100 CIO Award from CIO Magazine during his tenure.

Fluent in some languages, he also teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in technology, project management, strategy, international business, innovation, and change management.
